Projects: 1947 CJ-2A
View all Projects
This 1947, CJ-2A spent over 50 years as a ranch-runabout. When found, it had deteriorated to the point of being just a four-wheeled, farm,-trash-trailer--towed to the dump, and shoveled out, every month or so. In Dave’s capable hands, it was completely dismantled and restored to better-than-new condition; given back its original colors (Luzon red and Wheat), fitted with a correct canvas top, new seats, electrics, gages, rebuilt original motor and drive train. In the four years since being “reborn,” it has attracted lots of attention in several parades, and come home from car shows with awards in BOTH “People’s Choice” and “1940 to 1949” categories.
